    Spray a little Scottish mist

If you're looking for a little tonic to revive tired skin, then Pure Lochside's Purifying Facial Spritz is packed full of nature’s best healing ingredients.

Designed to purify and relieve oily and blemished skin, this spritz works either as part of a skincare routine, or simply as an uplifting skin pep-up throughout the day.

Simply spray onto a cotton pad for toning after cleansing morning and evening, or spray directly onto the face to cool and refresh, especially while travelling.

Purifying Facial Spritz is great for oily or combination skin that’s prone to breakouts and shine, or as a pick-me-up throughout the day.

The Pure Lochside range is inspired by the area surrounding Loch Lomond, and is designed to deliver luxury skincare that’s organic, natural, therapeutic and above all, ethical.

    Ladies: get pampered

Harsh winds, damp weather, cold conditions... It's time you booked in for a pampering facial.

And if you happen to live in or near London, then may we recommend a rather divine experience offered at Buty Salon, which has studios based in Hammersmith and Fulham.

This slice of wonderfulness starts with a diagnostic back massage through which Sam, the Buty Salon owner and expert, will determine which areas of the body and organs are particularly vulnerable.  A tailored facial therapy is then formulated using ingredients from the Decleor product range, which is administered using a facial massage technique that draws on Sam's 20 years of experience in beauty and her Sri Lankan heritage.

A mask is created using carefully blended essential oils which leave the face is hydrated, revitalised and balanced - but most importantly, glowing with youthful radiance.

A real treat and a truly relaxing experience, Büty Salon facials usually last for an hour and 15 minutes and will include a full consultation along with a massage, deep cleanse, exfoliation and extraction if necessary.  Prices range from £53 – 99.

To find out more or book an appointment, visit butysalon.co.uk or call the Fulham branch on 020 7731 4080.

    Get cosy this evening

Ah autumn, season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, and a time when it's great to feel cosy and warm of an evening.

So after bracing the elements, close the front door, settle down with a good book, make a hot chocolate and light a candle. Just great for warming the senses.

Molton Brown has just introduced a new toko-yuzu candela (£49), which has an uplifting fusion of mandarin, bitter orange, ginger and caraway. Or for a truly pampering evening, bathe in the toko-yuzu spicy bath and shower gel and finish with the citrus body moisturiser to keep skin supple in the cold wearther.

Indulge and feel protected and comforted as the darker nights close in.

The candela collection is available at www.moltonbrown.co.uk.

Get your mitts on an X Factor dress!

Can you cast your mind back to the Saturday before last when it was Big Band Week on the X Factor?

Never mind the singers we say, it's what Cheryl and Dannii are wearing that wins it for us.

And we've managed to track down the makers behind Dannii's gorgeous figure-hugging number. Yes, big band week meant big dresses. So Ms Minogue turned to her favourite couture label, Ralph & Russo, to create her dramatic look.

The stunning black floor length silk satin fishtail gown was inspired by old Hollywood and the Swarovski crystal detailing brought a big splash of sparkle to the piece.

Says head designer Tamara Ralph: “We wanted to amplify the glamour of the night with a classic gown oozing elegance and chic. Everyone gets that little more dressed up on big band week. The gown we designed was perfect for Dannii and the style we set out to achieve.”

The dress has proved so popular with the public since Dannii wore it on X Factor that the label has made available a version available to the public for £1,950.

If you want to get your mitts on it, contact enquiries@ralphandrusso.com.
