The decor is reminiscent of a trendy members’ club or boutique spa hotel and an array of luxurious treatments are available. From hairdressing to bespoke facials, massages to waxing, manicures to pedicures, a specialised team of highly experienced, genuinely warm and friendly professionals will tend to your every need.

We stopped by one Friday evening and discovered the ideal way to start the weekend. Most of us know there are few things in life quite as relaxing as a good shampoo before a haircut, but when you can enjoy this treat while lying on a state-of-the-art dark chocolate flat wash bed, the experience becomes something else altogether. You’ll be drifting off to nowhere land before you know it.

We recommend asking for one of Gielly Green’s co-founders Shai Greenberg or Fred Gielly to look after your tresses. Usually I like to keep a close eye on someone while they’re snipping away, but Shai is so confident with his scissors, I just closed my eyes and relaxed while he worked. The result was fabulous.

And for a manicure, be sure to book in Zehra Mehmet, who’ll leave your nails looking gorgeous and your hands as soft as silk for days on end.

The thing about Gielly Green is that it’s really in a class of its own. With its library, plush purple velvet sofas, spa beds and all-round sleek design, it’s the perfect place to relax and be transformed into a siren before heading out for the evening.

And perhaps come Christmas, the experience would make a great present for two.
